Jenkins spent his first three years of college football at Florida University, during his time with the Gators he started as a true freshman and made an instant impact. He had 39 tackles and three interceptions in 14 games for the Gators. His next two years with Florida he racked up 82 tackles and five interceptions. He left the Gators in 2011 and joined North Alabama where he had 53 tackles and two interceptions.
The Saint Louis Rams took Janoris with their second round pick, he came into the league wanting to prove he should have been the first cornerback off the board. He had a great rookie campaign with 73 tackles and four interceptions. He stayed with the Rams for three more seasons before signing a huge five-year, $62.5 million contract with the New York Giants. He spent 4 years in the Giants organization before heading to the New Orleans Saints. Currently in his first full season with the Saints he recently signed a new two-year deal with them.
Jenkins, not married, has five kids. He loves his children and is always trying to make them proud. Janoris is the cousin of Baltimore Ravens linebacker Pernell McPhee.
